"The strength of the nation depends on the strengths of its citizens. And the strengths of the citizens are grounded on the soundness of their bodies. Sports and physical education, therefore, must be integral to any educational institutions." 6th April 2016
"Sophie at OzPhil College of CaviteWe enrolled Sophie at Blessed Mary Academy for her Kindergarten. We thank Blessed Mary for having provided her a good foundation in reading (the school has an effective program for reading). After completing Kindergarten, we enrolled Sophie at Ozphil College of Cavite when it started its operation last year, guided by three practical reasons. First, it would save us money and time as the school is located inside our subdivision, Garden Grove Village. Second, it would secure the safety of our child as she did not have to travel outside the subdivision. And third, we wanted to contribute to the growth of the school established in our own subdivision. As a parent who attended all the school activities in which our attendance was encouraged, I have observed two good practices of the College. First is the institutionalization of the COLLEGE FACTION DAY (every Friday) in which all students (all grade levels combined) are grouped into teams and engage in team-building and sports activities. (This program aims to promote among its students camaraderie, social responsibility, self-esteem and self-confidence, values deemed vital in developing self-reliant and socially responsible individuals.) Second is the conduct of occasional team-building activities involving students, faculty, administrators, and parents, which are always followed by a banquet in which they share not only foods but also stories and experiences thereby developing a sense of community among them. Aside from these good practices, the College offers dynamic curricula and effective pedagogies duly accredited by the governments of the Philippines and Australia (hence the name OzPhil).Sophie has successfully completed grade one at OzPhil and we're happy that she has developed confidence and sense of community which we deem vital in her holistic development as a child. We're looking forward to her second year in OzPhil." 1st of April 2016
